Photo of the Week

Our photo of the week is courtesy of Albert Wilkinson, owner of A.W. Emboss. One of our Picker Artists, you can check out his great vintage photo restoration work and other pieces on his pages.
Lots of folks enjoyed vibrant rainbows over the past few days – sometimes doubles! Did you capture one?

Do you have some great pictures of our vibrant Downtown you’d like to show off? Post them to our Facebook page, or send them to us by email! We love to share images that capture the beauty and excitement of Downtown Nashua.

IT’S TIME TO START THINKING ABOUT PLANTING!

Please donate to
Gate City Community Gardens
to help your neighbors grow!
The Gate City Community Gardens site has now been home to gardeners along the Nashua Heritage Rail Trail for 8 years; it has grown to 32 beds!
The first 12 beds have been in service since 2013, and they are literally bursting at the seams from all that love. It’s time for a facelift, and we need your help.
We’re raising funds for (new) raised beds! Our original wooden ones (above) have served our neighbors well; now we’d like to get some sturdier and longer lasting metal beds installed (see image below).
Got a couple bucks to pitch in? Please consider making a donation of any amount to help us reach out goal! One hundred percent of your generosity goes straight into this community project. Thank you!

DONATE – THANK YOU!

SPANISH TRANSLATION AVAILABLE FOR GAD ART TOUR

Great American Downtown
anuncia una versión en español,
DISTRX Art Tour app
¡Buenas noticias!

Great American Downtown has released a Spanish translation of its free downloadable app for a self-guided audio visual art tour of Downtown Nashua’s local murals and sculptures.

This 14-stop art tour on the free DISTRX app for smartphones was released last May in English. Now the tour is available to experience by Spanish-speaking visitors to Nashua’s Main Street and the surrounding area.

Great American Downtown reached out to Oscar Villacis, of WSMN radio talk show First Gen American, and asked him to translate their existing script. First Gen’s Jasmine Torres Allen then recorded the script in Spanish.
We’re very grateful for their assistance with this enhancement of our tour; we invite you to check out their compelling radio show about the first-generation experience. Here’s a great article on how First Gen American began; check them out on Facebook and live on WSMN radio, too.
