Great American Downtown
is extremely pleased to announce
the creation of a walking tour of Nashua’s public art!

  • FREE app downloaded onto your phone directs you on walking tour

  • Self-guided at your own pace, on your own schedule

  • Each tour consists of 10–15 examples of public art:

    • Murals (historic and recent)

    • Sculptures

  • Each tour designed for ease of walkability/accessibility

Great American Downtown, in conjunction with City Arts Nashua, Nashua International Sculpture Symposium, and Positive Street Art, is excited to offer residents and visitors alike a free and simple way to enjoy our copious examples of public art!

The DISTRX app is FREE to download onto any smartphone, and will guide you along an easy route through Downtown Nashua and surrounding areas. As you approach a mural or sculpture, the app will give you an audio description of the work, its artist, and facts about its creation. Information and photos on your phone will enable further future exploration on your own.

The first public walking tour is slated for release in May 2020, with two subsequent tours already planned – an additional art walk, and one that highlights some of the rich history of the city of Nashua.

It is also planned to offer these audio tours in English as well as Spanish.

For more information and to download the app, visit DISTRX here.
