Photo of the Week

Our photo of the week is to congratulate our friends at Mint Printworks on their tenth anniversary! They have been such incredible supporters of our Downtown Nashua businesses for a decade, but especially throughout this difficult past year. They were also so helpful in bringing our new #DowntownNashua skyline logo apparel vision to life (see below!).
Congratulations guys! We look forward to working with you for years to come!

Do you have some great pictures of our vibrant Downtown you’d like to show off? Post them to our Facebook page, or send them to us by email! We love to share images that capture the beauty and excitement of Downtown Nashua.

THURSDAY: COVID-19 REMEMBRANCE DAY

City of Nashua
hosts remembrance event
2 pm Thursday, Feb. 4
More than 1,000 people in New Hampshire have died of COVID-19, with more than 70 of those deaths in Nashua. To pay tribute to those we’ve lost, Nashua will host a special virtual ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m.
The ceremony will begin with an opening prayer from Rabbi Jon Spira-Savett, of Nashua’s Temple Beth Abraham, followed by remarks from Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess, Congresswoman Annie Kuster, representatives for U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan and City of Nashua Director of Public Health and Community Services Bobbie Bagley.
Members of the press and public can view the ceremony on local access TV channel 16, or view the livestream on the City of Nashua website HERE.

HAVE A HEART – HELP OUR FURRY FRIENDS!

Do you Have a Heart for our local pets?
The Humane Society for Greater Nashua is running their Have a Heart campaign. Your business can partner with the Humane Society to sell these hearts that will benefit the pets awaiting adoption! Digital options are available for remote businesses and/or for a different approach.
Throughout February and March, you can buy a paper heart to show your support of the pets waiting for their forever homes at HSGN:
  • RED hearts are available for a $1 minimum donation;
  • PINK hearts are available for a $5 minimum donation; and
  • GOLD hearts are available for a $10 minimum donation.
More than 70 businesses and storefronts throughout greater Nashua will participate in the Have a Heart campaign, displaying hearts with the donor’s name, the name of their current pet, or a beloved pet that has passed.
Proceeds help HSGN provide food, medical care, vaccines and shelter for the pets awaiting adoption. Did you know they take in and care for 2,000 pets annually?
Buy your heart today! You can stop by the Humane Society or visit one of the many participating local businesses. Find those locations HERE.

CAN YOU HELP LOCAL KIDS BY BEING A TUTOR?

United Way seeks volunteer tutors
The United Way of Greater Nashua and its tutoring program, Learn United, has had great success in matching volunteer tutors with students in grades 1–11, who need help in math, science, literacy, and other subjects. So successful, in fact, that tutors are needed for in-person tutoring at youth-serving organizations on weekdays during after-school hours.

#TakeoutTuesday this week:
International options
We’ve been sharing suggestions with you in our weekly blogs on where to grab-n-go your meals in Downtown Nashua. Now that we’ve grouped them by proximity, we thought it might be helpful to share those names with you grouped by restaurant type.
Starting this week, we’ll be sharing categories of eateries, to help you decide where you want to eat, and enable you to find new places to support, as our locally owned businesses continue to stay open for us despite their challenges.
Why not commit to #TakeoutTuesday (or whatever day works for you and your family) every week, and expand your culinary horizons? Affordable and delicious options await you, with easy curbside pickup or delivery, and no grocery shopping and cooking for you!
Read our blog below, and check our website weekly for more suggestions!
