COVID Vaccine Hesitancy Forum

Live panelists will discuss beliefs and myths about COVID-19 and its vaccines that are circulating in their communities.
Letâs learn from Latinx, African, Brazilian, African American, and other community members. Join us on Zoom to hear insider information from client and cultural perspectives. Their presentations are geared to help providers understand what types of education a) are needed, b) can build trust, and c) will help community members take advantage of vaccination.
Learning Objectives:
- List at least 3 barriers, to getting the COVID vaccine (or healthcare generally), faced by the represented cultures / groups
- Discuss the represented co-cultureâs customs, beliefs and/or communication patterns and how they impact the receipt of care
- Identify 3 practices on the part of providers that can help co-cultural community members comfortably utilize COVID vaccine clinics, healthcare generally, or/and other services.
Virtual presenters: Community speakers from diverse backgrounds such as Latinx, African, African American, Brazilian, Muslim, and more. Moderated by Lynn Clowes, Cultural Effectiveness Trainer for Ascentria Care Alliance.

Additionally, Southern New Hampshire Area Health Education Center is an approved provider with distinction of nursing continuing professional development by the Northeast Multistate Division Education Unit, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Centerâs Commission on Accreditation.

Businesses of all shapes and sizes, business leaders, artist entrepreneurs as well as arts and cultural organizations are eligible to receive NHBCA Arts Awards.
Deadline for submissions is 8 pm Friday, April 30, 2021.
Multiple supporting letters and materials may be submitted to offer a complete picture of nomineesâ contributions and successful efforts to enhance New Hampshireâs arts and cultural environment. Individuals, businesses and organizations are also encouraged to self-nominate.
Please note: You must retain your own copy of your nomination for your records. At this time it is not possible to print the form from the website. You will receive an email indicating that the submission has been received. Click the links below to complete the appropriate form.
