Photo of the Week

Our photo of the week was taken near the water feature entitled “Fire & Water,” constructed by Paul Bedard Jr., owner of Pawjer Construction Company and Earth Products of Goffstown. It also shows the vibrantly painted barriers created by Positive Street Art and Beyond Walls, in front of Martha’s Exchange Restaurant & Brewery.
Bedard doesn’t consider himself an artist, but rather as someone who sculpts, by sculpting the land in his business. He often comes across boulders in his work, and realized he could use a wire saw to cut through them and create sculptural pieces of art, instead of simply disposing of them. This repurposed stone was formerly part of a nearby bridge, and excavated in preparation for the Broad Street Parkway.
You can learn more about this piece, and other sculptures and murals in the Downtown Nashua area, by downloading our FREE art tour app to your smartphone.
