The Downtowner
Your Source For All Things Local!

Dear –FNAME–,
We hope you’re having a wonderful week! I wanted to take a moment and express our gratitude for all of you who have been supporting our Downtown in this festive season.

First, thank you to the hundreds of you who came out last week for Plaid Friday! We had a great time, supporting local businesses as we kick off the holiday season here in Nashua! If you haven’t made it out recently, our Main Street is looking merry and bright, with window and street light decorations galore – please be sure to think about out small business community as you do your holiday shopping! Thank you to our presenting partner Fortin Gage Flowers & Gifts, and our sponsors the Nashua Telegraph and the Greater Nashua Chamber of commerce!

Second, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who showed their support for community gardens this Giving Tuesday! So far we’ve raised $360 to support keeping this garden program free and available to all those who are interested in growing with us at the Pine Street Gardens! If you’d still like to help us reach our goal, please click here to read more and to make a donation online! We are also very glad to accept donations for this program by check, which can be sent to Great American Downtown, 6 Main Street, Nashua, NH 03064 and write “gardens” in the memo line and we’ll set it aside for this program.

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, in health and good company,
Paul Shea

Executive Director
Great American Downtown Inc.

Photo of the Week

Our photo of the week was taken by Roger Boilard

He captured the “Nostalgia” mural, on the side of the building where Tostao’s Tapas-Bar resides, at 170 Main St.
It was newly restored by Positive Street Art and features updated lighting just in time for the holiday season. Festive!

Do you have some great pictures of our vibrant Downtown you’d like to show off? Post them to our Facebook page, or send them to us by email! We love to share images that capture the beauty and excitement of Downtown Nashua.
