Glick will continue to be one of our performing artists that are part of our Summer Sidewalk Sessions series â two or three locations along Main Street will feature local musicians adding their unique ambiance for passersby to enjoy, as they make their way to shopping or dining. | | ‘Embrace Your Inner Empath’ workshop 2 pm Thursday, May 20 Tangled Roots Herbal, 95 W. Pearl Street, invites you to get in touch with your empathic skills in an online workshop next week. Embrace Your Inner Empath- Feeling like you understand or feel emotions and experiences of others
like they’re your own? - Have people always referred to you as over-emotional or too sensitive?
- And are you overwhelmed by all of these feels?
This online class is for people who are empathic; they feel others’ emotions and sometimes even experiences as their own. We’ll create a safe space in which you’ll come to understand what it means to be an empath, and we will teach you specific tools and techniques on how to harness your energies and how to control and protect yourself from that feeling of “overwhelm.” Our goal is to transform these feelings into the wonderful gift it is to be an empath! | | ‘Introspection’ â 2021 Nashua International Sculpture Symposium The 14th annual Nashua International Sculpture Symposium has announced its theme for 2021 â âIntrospectionâ â which will be represented in the completed works of three invited artists, who will create their pieces and leave them here as gifts to the city. Local art lovers can meet and visit with the artists during their work hours at the Picker Artists Studios, 3 Pine St. ext. They will create from 10 amâ4 pm, Mondays through Saturdays during their May 24âJune 8 work period. An opening ceremony will be held at 5:30 pm Thursday, May 20 at 14 Court Street, where the finished artwork will reside. | | |

| | NO MEMORIAL DAY PARADE IN 2021 | | |
| | City of Nashua cancels Memorial Day Parade; will still hold other ceremonies While there will be no Memorial Day Parade this year in Nashua, the cityâs veteransâ organizations will host their annual wreath-laying ceremonies at local cemeteries, according to City Hall. Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess and Barney Barbera, chairman of the Mayorâs Veterans Council, canceled the parade in the interest of keeping Nashua residents healthy and safe, as the city continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Nashua American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign wars VFW Post 483, will participate in the following wreath-laying services on Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day). Members of these groups will meet at 8 am beginning at the new St. Louis Cemetery (W. Hollis Street, east of the landfill) and theyâll move on to the other locations in this order: ⢠Beth Abraham Cemetery (428 W. Hollis Street) ⢠Old St. Louis Cemetery (752 W. Hollis Street) ⢠Old South Cemetery (DW Highway, north of Walgreens) These ceremonies will be shown on local access TV channels. | | |
