The Downtowner
Your Source For All Things Local!

Dear –FNAME–,

In case you missed it, last week we shared our blog on how the SBA has targeted certain areas of Nashua for additional support through the EIDL program, useful information for Schedule C filers who are looking to apply for the PPP, as well as a preview of the City of Nashua’s upcoming COVID Impact fund for Nashua businesses and non-profits. You can check it out, and learn more here. The deadline for businesses to submit to the COVID Impact Fund is March 14th, which is fast approaching – and we wanted to make sure you, or a business owner you know, don’t miss out on the opportunity.

This afternoon, the President will sign the American Rescue Plan, bringing needed relief to communities throughout the country, including state and local funding, and support for businesses & organizations to ensure their survival and success as we work our way out of this challenging time. In the next few weeks, we will be hosting a session with the NH Small Business Development Center as guidance on these programs is published, to ensure people have the information they need to succeed. We’ll also be partnering with the NH SBDC on the Resiliency Academy Cohort program, to help businesses and organizations with access to the tools they need to develop individualized resiliency plans. Stay tuned for more on all of that in the week’s ahead.

If you’re not already receiving emails from us, and would like to be added to our list for informational meetings geared toward businesses and organizations as these programs roll out- click here and provide your info on our form and we’ll keep you in the Loop!

Hoping you get a chance to enjoy some of this great spring weather!

Photo of the Week

Our photo of the week offers a glorious glimpse of sunrise near The Peddlers’ Daughter portion of the Nashua river, and was captured by Executive Director Paul Shea.
We’re very fortunate that city leaders in Nashua have been focusing on investments in the Nashua riverfront for some time. It’s such an important asset, that we’ve only begun to leverage. With the recently established Tax Increment Finance District, and the Nashua Riverfront Development Plan, we can expect more scenes like this to unfold before our eyes in the years ahead.
