MEET YOUR LOCAL VENDORS!

You’ve gotta love a place whose website name is “gimmie spaghetti”! Valicenti Pasta Farm in Hollis was established in 2008 by Chef David Valicenti, whose popular “Red Gravy” tomato sauce launched their business. The farm includes 10 acres of fields and a greenhouse, growing organic tomatoes,  eggplant, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, herbs, and more, to make their homemade pastas and sauces.

All products are made and packaged in their commercial kitchen inside a red barn in Hollis. All natural and locally sourced ingredients. They create ravioli and other fresh pastas, sauces, and lasagnas. Vegan,  dairy free, gluten free options available.
They’re on Facebook and at the market this weekend!

THE CHAMBER INVITES YOU TO HELP A GREAT NONPROFIT

Make a donation to Gateways Community Services
as part of Citizens of the Year celebration
As the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce gears up for its 92nd annual Gala and Citizens of the Year virtual event on Oct. 8, Chamber President & CEO Kate Luczko is asking folks to celebrate along with them, by participating in a fundraiser for a local nonprofit.
This year’s two Citizens of the Year will be Helen Honorow and William Barry. They have chosen Gateways Community Services as the recipient of the fundraiser.
Luczko writes: “This year, our Annual Gala and Citizen of the Year celebration is different. We are still celebrating, but like for many this year, celebrations are unlike those of the past. However, it is in times like these that new traditions bloom and opportunities are presented to explore other possibilities.
“While exploring this new virtual way of celebrating, we felt it was important to find a unique and special way to honor our Citizens of the Year. To do so, we asked Bill and Helen to select a local nonprofit for whom we would conduct a fundraising campaign tied to the Gala. They selected Gateways Community Services!
“Gateways Community Services is a private non-profit corporation created in 1981 to establish and maintain programs and services which promote growth and independence for individuals with developmental disabilities. Gateways delivers services for approximately 3,000 individuals with disabilities, families coping with autism, and seniors in need of care.
“The impact of Gateways is felt throughout the Greater Nashua region by so many individuals and their families. Your support of their programs will make a difference and will be a wonderful expression of your appreciation for Bill and Helen and the work that they do for all of us!”
Donations to Gateways can be made by clicking the button below. Please be sure to select “In Honor of Helen Honorow & Bill Barry” in the dropdown menu.
For more information on Gateways and their services, visit their website or follow them on Facebook.

GET YOUR SEASONAL FLU SHOT!

Flu vaccines
available Tuesdays and Fridays
About the Flu Vaccine
An annual flu vaccine is the best way to reduce your chances of getting the seasonal flu and spreading it to others. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone 6 months of age and older receive an annual flu vaccine. Each year, the CDC works with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as other partners, to ensure the highest safety standards for flu vaccines.

Where to Get the Flu Vaccine?

In partnership with St. Joseph Hospital, the City of Nashua is offering weekly clinics in Nashua for immunizations ONLY, including the flu vaccine.
A fee of $15 for flu vaccination is requested, but no one will be turned away for inability to pay. When going to get your flu vaccine, continue to practice everyday preventative actions to keep you, your family, and your community safe.
Get your flu vaccine at these times at Elm Street Middle School (in the front parking lot):
3–6 pm Tuesdays
10 am–noon Fridays
