The Nashua Farmers Market on Main Street will return on June 21st. This growing market has become a Sunday destination for Nashuans, and serves as a vital link to connect neighbors with local farm and food producers. The market is a part of our local food system, and contributes to resiliency and food security in our community. The market offers SNAP/EBT match, and operates in a USDA designated ââ¬Åfood desertââ¬Â – ensuring access to fresh local food for residents of our Downtown neighborhoods.Ã
These times call for an abundance of care and responsibility. Our market operations will be adjusted this year with the health and safety of our vendors and customers in mind. As we work to finalize plans, we know that there will be costs associated with these added measures. We also know that we are facing a challenge with retaining long standing sponsors, and attracting new sponsors, due to economic impacts from COVID-19. Putting together the program is a big lift each year, and we will need the support of the community to ensure that we can meet the challenges of the day – and preserve the market as we navigate and respond to the impacts of this pandemic.Ã
On thisà #GivingTuesdayNow, we’re once again asking for your support of Great American Downtown, so that we can continue to present the Nashua Farmers Market, and foster the improved quality of life that it affords Nashua. Weââ¬â¢re doing everything in our power to support our neighbors in these trying times, and to be here on the other side of this to celebrate when we can gather again. â¤ï¸Âà #LoveNashua
