Photo of the Week

Our photo of the week shows the beautiful end result of the hard work of the Beyond Walls crew. The creative place-making nonprofit out of Lynn, Mass., worked with Mayor Donchess and Amy DeRoche (images below) to help beautify our outdoor dining area on East Pearl Street, by setting up their sleek, metal barriers near Stella Blu and Fratello’s. They look great and provide a beautiful safety barrier for our downtown visitors!
Do you have some great pictures of our vibrant Downtown you’d like to show off? Post them to our Facebook page, or send them to us by email! We love to share images that capture the beauty and excitement of Downtown Nashua.

Dancin’ in the Park – Swing Night!
6:30–9:30 pm Saturday, Sept. 12
Our first event of the season was a big hit, so Dancin’ In The Park is back!
Since 2016, families, friends and neighbors have gathered to dance the warm summer night away, through the City of Nashua’s Dancin’ events. Won’t you join us for some swing dancing along the river? Dancin’ in the Park will take place along the Nashua Riverfront in Renaissance Park on Water Street, in Downtown Nashua.
Join us outside by the river, for hot music and cold ice cream (available for purchase from Hazy Ice Cream). First, enjoy a dance lesson with instructors from Paper Moon Dance Center, who will teach us swing dance styles. Then, our guest musicians will heat up the night with two one-hour sets.
The Hal McIntyre Orchestra and Boston-based Sinatra-homage crooner Steve Marvin will perform swing hits, as well as classics from “the Chairman of the Board!”
Music and lights produced by Weird Fish Productions.
Registration for this event is FREE and required for entry, but does not guarantee admission. Event capacity is limited to 150, to ensure enough room to allow for participants to maintain physical distancing.
We recommend guests arrive between 6–6:30 pm, as we will be turning folks away (even with pre-registration) once we do reach capacity. Mask wearing will be required of all those in attendance, aside from performers. This event, and its health and safety plan, have been developed in partnership with the Nashua Dept. of Public Health to ensure proper measures are in place for a healthy, safe, and fun night of music and dance!
Please be aware that we continue to monitor the conditions of COVID-19 spread in Nashua and the state, and in the event that conditions change, this event may be cancelled at the recommendation of Public Health.

Let’s bring the diverse ethnic flavors and culture of our community, along with and a little piece of your family immigration story, to share with others!
This year’s Welcoming Week theme is Creating Home Together

The virtual cookbook will be published on their website during Welcoming Week, Sept. 12-20.
