MyOptic on Main Street: Your Personal Eye Stylists

Official Grand Opening on October 9th at 2p.m. – 204 Main Street, Nashua

With decades of combined experience, Elena Jawitz-Blue and Darian Jawitz-Blue (who simply goes by “Blue”), have taken on a beloved Downtown business bringing versatile and stylish eyewear and top-notch customer service to the community. MyOptic has been a staple of the Downtown storefront scene since 1997, when it moved there from its previous location at the Nashua Mall. All told, the store has an over thirty-year history, and the Jawitz-Blues knew they had large shoes to fill, given how well-known and admired owner Bob Cagen was in the community.

The couple met Bob in 2022. They were in town for a wedding and decided to visit a local optometry shop. After a long and enjoyable conversation, they kept in touch. As time went on, Elena and Blue expressed their interest in moving to the area and Bob expressed interest in selling his business. Sadly, Bob Cagen passed away in January of 2025. Now, as owners of MyOptic, Elena and Blue honor Bob’s memory and years of proprietorship by providing the same high level of customer service, as well as the variety and quality of eyewear.

MyOptic has something for everyone, whether you’re looking for stylish everyday wear, a formal option, or something sturdy for work. For example, while they offer safety glasses for construction professionals, they also boast “Say Yas to the Glasses,” a wedding-specific fitting service. And then, of course, there’s everything in between, including unique frames from all over the world. They even offer local delivery and will make appointments outside of normal office hours to accommodate their customers’ busy schedules. Where else are you going to get that kind of personal touch?

Elena says it’s all about putting your best face forward: “Glasses are a deeply personal experience that we do not take lightly. It is like shopping for a whole new face, and we want to make sure that your new face represents you the way you want to be represented.”

MyOptic is located at 204 Main St. You can find store hours, upcoming events, and additional information on their website: https://myopticonmain.com/
