Nashua’s Veterans Day parade cancelled for 2020

Due to the current pandemic and the risks associated with large gatherings, as well as the limited availability of local school bands, it was determined this year’s Veterans Day parade will be postponed until next year.

Tributes honoring our veterans will still occur. Nashua organizations the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans DAV, and Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW Post 483 will be laying wreaths at many locations around town.

A wreath ceremony will take place at each location listed below.

Meet at:  City Hall 8:00 AM

WW1 City Hall
Korean War City Hall
Deschenes Oval Railroad Square
Soldiers & Sailors Monument Main & Concord (Civil War)
Vietnam War Memorial Park (Ledge St)

 

The Nashua ELKS Lodge 720 are slated to be placing flags at the following cemeteries at 9 am Saturday, Nov. 7 and removing them the following week.

Nashua:

Old South, Evergreen, St. Francis, Pinewood, St. Stanislaus, St. Louis (new), Edgewood, Woodlawn, St. Louis (old), Congregation Beth Abraham, The Nashua Cemetery, Hillside, Gilson Road.

Hudson:

Holy Cross, St. Patrick’s.
