Here’s the 2019 schedule of events for City Arts Nashua’s Artwalk, this incredible weekend of art, music, theatrical performances, children’s crafts, shopping and so much more! Bookmark this page to refer to as you and your family explore and enjoy, all weekend long!

Friday, Oct. 18:

  • 6–8 pm: Opening kickoff event at St. Joseph Hospital. Pamela Hines confirmed to perform. This performance is sponsored in part by our friends at Elizabeth Grady.  We are currently finalizing one or two live artists.  We will also feature artists that are currently displayed there through ArtHub as well as several confirmed ArtWalk artist participants.  Enjoy light refreshments and food.

Saturday, Oct. 19: Events held 11 am – 5 pm

Nashua Historical Society (5 Abbott Street)

  • 9 am – 3 pm: The Speare Museum and Artisan Craft Fair.  Abbott-Spaulding House open during this time.

Hunt Memorial Building (6 Main Street)

  • 11 am – 4 pm: Mini Psychic Fair featuring the following visionaries: Stacey Smith, Robert Menard, Tolan Oakenshield, Lori Haynes, Joan Ruffels (reservations made morning of event on a first come, first serve basis. Fee required)
  • 11 am – 2 pm: Puppet craft sponsored and organized by The Painted Turtle (KidsWalk)
  • 2–5 pm: Popsicle stick animals sponsored and organized by Gate City Charter School for the Arts (KidsWalk)
  • time TBD: Musician and artist Tajoura “TJ” Davis will share her artistic gifts!

Library Plaza

  • 11:30 am – 12:30 pm: African drumming and creative movement performance for children (KidsWalk)
  • Noon – 2 pm: Nashua High School South Honors Arts Society face painting and caricatures (KidsWalk)
  • 1–2 pm: Step performance, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua (KidsWalk)
  • 2–3 pm: Drumming circle, Nashua Community Music School (KidsWalk)

  • 11 am – 1 pm: Artist Eric Escobar live mural creation

  • 10:30 am – 12:30 pm: Rug hooking demonstration with Lisa Chaloner
  • Noon – 2 pm: Mixed media jewelry demonstration with Anne Sherman
  • 12:30–4 pm: Rug hooking workshop (Pre-registration required)
  • 2–4 pm: Making of the 2019 League annual ornament demonstration with Meggin Dosset

  • 11 am – 5 pm: Kid artist exhibit,  “What is AMAZING!” (KidsWalk)

Picker Collaborative Artists (3 Pine Street)

  • 11 am – 5 pm: Make quilting squares! Keep your square or donate it to a quilt that will be auctioned off at the City Arts 7th annual Meri Goyette Arts Award Luncheon in 2020. Sponsored and organized by Cindy Goodman, All American Quilt Company (KidsWalk)
  • 11:30 am – 1:30 pm: Musical performance by Pope Pickin
  • 2–4:30 pm: Musical performance by Gate City Karaoke

  • 11 am – 2 pm: Starry Slime Making, supported by the YMCA of Greater Nashua (KidsWalk)

Peacock Players (4 Court Street)

  • 2 pm and 7 pm: Performances of Alice in Wonderland (tickets required)

Nashua Theatre Guild (14 Court Street)

  • 1–3 pm: Nashua Theatre Guild and Actorsingers are partnering for workshops, improv, and performance pieces, to be held in the Theatre Guild courtyard.

Symphony NH (Keefe Center for the Arts)

  • 7:30–9:30 pm: Opera and Broadway’s Greatest Hits with additional vocals from Peacock Players (tickets required)

Camaraderie (175 Main Street)

  • 11 am – 5 pm: ArtWalk photo selfie station – have fun at our photo stop along the ArtWalk! Post with hashtags #artwalknashua2019 #kidswalknashua2019 #cityartsnashua

Bicentennial Park (69 Main Street)

  • 11 am – 5 pm: Make It Labs! – Hands-on creative activities for all ages
  • 11 am – 5 pm: Nashua International Sculpture Symposium — Nashua is the only location in the country that hosts an annual international sculpture symposium. Come meet this amazing group!

  • Riverwalk Cafe – Hunny Ten with Wyn Doran. Tickets $7 in advance, $10 at the door.

  • 2–3 pm: Author Marianne O’Connor will discuss her book “Haunted Hikes of New Hampshire,” on its tenth anniversary (this program is for adults and older children)
