Actorsingers has been producing exceptional community theatre for Nashua audiences since 1955. The organization is known for its splashy, lavish musicals, from classics like “Oklahoma!” to more recent hits like “Mamma Mia!”. They produce two mainstage musicals a year, in spring and fall (usually May and November) and a youth production with its Teen Actorsingers. Shows are in the historic Keefe Auditorium at Elm Street Middle School, 117 Elm St.
In the last few years, Actorsingers has included an edgier “Fringe” show in the summer. The company also competes in regional festivals.
Nashua Theatre Guild
Nashua Theatre Guild was established in 1961, with a mission to offer the community affordable, high quality theater while enriching the talents and abilities of its members.
NTG presents comedies, dramas, and cutting edge productions. Mainstage shows are performed at the Janice B. Streeter Theater, 14 Court St., in downtown Nashua; during the summer, NTG performs Shakespeare at Greeley Park’s outdoor halfshell stage, 100 Concord St., as part of the city’s Summer Fun series. The company also presents a New Years Ball Drop event, partnering with local comedians, several drag queens, and local improv troupe Queen City Improv.
Peacock Players is proud to serve the Nashua community as “New Hampshire’s premiere award-winning youth theatre” since 1975.
In addition to producing an incredible six mainstage productions each season, serving two age groups of aspiring youth actors, Peacock Players provides year-round educational programs (workshops, summer camp, private music and improv instruction), and select community outreach performance groups.
With a strong commitment to education, training and individual youth development, Peacock Players is known for fostering talent that heads for Broadway, but is a company that values all levels of interest and ability. They are as committed to the growth of the art form, as they are to the growth of the individual artist.
