Sid Ceaser, voted “Best Local Visual Artist” five years in a row by readers of the Hippo Press is an established Nashua area photographer located in the downtown mill district.
Sid works with his client’s one on one to capture stunning business portraits, senior photos and other specific client needs. He enjoys his work as a portrait photographer because he never knows who is going to walk through his door and what story they may have to tell. A photography session with Sid is an intimate and relaxed experience resulting in quality fine art portraiture.
Another avenue of Sid’s work is musician and band portraiture and he will often make album covers. Sid works with bands and solo artists to pull together album art that really captures their style. Making album covers was a childhood hobby of Sid’s. After compiling a mix-tape he would design cover art for the insert that spoke of the tapes compilation. It seems in life everyone aspires to be doing something they are passionate about and Sid has achieved that goal.
People say Sid’s portraits have a painterly quality and that he captures the true essence of his subjects. How is that possible? It’s simple really, Sid knows photography and he knows how to photograph well. The 2004 graduate from Manchester New Hampshire Institute of Art was raised on film and when Photography moved to digital capturing images became a high speed process with increased image volume. The thing is that even with the use of digital cameras good photography still takes time, planning and consideration of light effects and exposure settings. Sid treats his digital camera as if he were shooting film and that concentration on his work is how he is able to create his stunning portraits the public has grown to love.
Sid Ceaser Photography is located in the Picker Collaborative Artists building at 3 Pine Street Nashua NH.
